Morocco attracts more and more visitors from the countries of the Sardinia. Their number has increased by 10% in 2016 compared to the previous year, according to the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT).

From Denmark, the number of tourists increased by 27%, while Sweden and Norway showed an increase of 6%. In 2015, nearly 87,000 Scandinavians visited Morocco in 2015.
This trend should continue during the current year to reach more than 100,000 tourists, while they were only 50,000 to visit the Kingdom in 2009.

Scandinavian tourists (Denmark, Norway and Sweden) specializing in golf have shown an interest in the destination Morocco, twice as many as in 2017. Thus more than 120 travel agencies in Northern Europe offered their customers trips to the Morocco.

Morocco has maintained its position in the Nordic market, despite the difficult economic environment in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It remains a favorite destination for visitors from the cold, when several MENA countries have experienced a decline estimated at 60%, recalls the same source.
